Summer, 2010 - Sundays. Monroeville's Historic Houses (The McCully House and the McGinley House) near Forbes Hospital, are open each summer on Sundays (June through August, from 1 pm to 4 pm). The public are invited to tour the houses that represent an important part of Monroeville's past. The Houses are located at 2381 McGinley Road, behind Forbes Hospital and just across from the Health South Rehabilitation Center. Admission is FREE. Oct. 16, 2010. Heritage Day Festival – from 1 to 5 PM at the historic houses. Tours of the Historical Houses and Herb Garden, and Doll House Collection. Children’s Activities: Sing-a-long with a Guitar Minstral, Making Scarecrows and Corn Husk Dolls, Butter Churning, Baking Bread, Ice Cream Making, and Pumpkin and Stone Decorating; demonstrations of Lace Making and Wool Spinning.
